International scholarships: MA in Irish Studies at University College Dublin
The UCD School of Irish, Celtic Studies and Folklore is delighted to announce the availability of a number of scholarships to international (non-EU) students to its one-year taught Masters programme in Irish Studies for 2018-19. These cover 50% of the tuition fees, and are thus worth over €9,000 to successful candidates.
The MA in Irish Studies offers a stimulating interdisciplinary programme which aims to introduce students to the complex processes through which Ireland and Irish identities have been constructed. Designed for students from diverse backgrounds, it explores Ireland’s culture, identity, history, languages and literatures and the role of the Irish people and Irish society in both a national and global context.
As Ireland’s largest university UCD has an unrivalled concentration of expertise in the field of Irish Studies, and students can choose from a wide and attractive range of subjects contributed by numerous Schools, including:
• Irish, Celtic Studies and Folklore
• History
• English, Drama and Film
• Archaeology
• Sociology
• Politics and International Relations
• Art History and Cultural Policy
• Music
• Geography
Being in Dublin naturally also provides students with easy access to many of Ireland’s key cultural institutions and libraries.
Further information on our interdisciplinary core and option modules can be found at https://sisweb.ucd.ie/usis/!W_HU_MENU.P_PUBLISH?p_tag=PROG&MAJR=Z195
