University College Dublin invites applications for the permanent position of Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in Drama Studies, UCD School of English, Drama and Film, UCD College of Arts and Humanities.

The School of English, Drama and Film seeks to appoint a lecturer/assistant professor in Drama Studies. The lecturer/assistant professor will teach in the BA programme in English and Drama / Drama Studies and on the M.A. programme in Drama and Performance Studies and on the UCD/Gaiety School of Acting M.A. programme in Theatre Practice. The successful candidate will have experience and interest in practice as research and/or experience in community or educational contexts for theatre and performance. A well-established research record and teaching interest in the areas of World theatre or European or American theatre is required. The lecturer/assistant professor will also supervise and mentor MA and PhD students. The School is part of the College of Arts and Humanities, which is an ambitious college with a well-defined research agenda and strong impact nationally and internationally. UCD is a research-intensive global university and the new staff member will be expected to contribute to achieving UCD’s Strategic Plan.

Salary Range: Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above the bar) €50,807 – €76,936 per annum.
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
