CFP: 5th Poznań Conference of Celtic Studies
The Centre for Celtic Studies at the Faculty of English, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland is pleased to invite established scholars and early career researchers to submit abstracts for thematic sessions or general session papers (max. 300-350 words plus a bibliography) for talks of 20 minutes plus ten minutes of discussion, which will take place during 8-9 July 2024. PCCS meetings provide a forum for high-quality papers on a variety of aspects of Celtic Studies, including:
• various aspects of linguistics of the Celtic languages
• language policy, revitalisation, planning and maintenance
• Welsh/Irish/Breton/Scottish Gaelic/Manx/Cornish literature (Modern and Medieval)
• Welsh Writing in English
• Celtic Folklore
• Celtic diasporas worldwide
• Archaeology
• Teaching of Celtic Languages
• Cultures of the Celtic countries
The deadline for proposal submissions is 28th February 2024. Please send an abstract – of no more than 350 words plus references, if necessary – to pccs@wa.amu.edu.pl
When applying, please state if your paper is for the general Celtic sessions or the Celtic sociolinguistic sessions. Successful applicants will be notified by 30th March 2024.
