WHAT IS REBOOT LIVE 2020

Simply put, REBOOT LIVE is a return to live theatre. 18 New Irish Plays in front of a live audience.

It is an effort to preserve the social experience of live theatre under pandemic conditions.  Reboot Live brings together 50 artists (writers, actors, directors, technicians) to perform 18 new plays over three weeks beginning 25th August 2020 for 24 performances to a live audience of 240. Each of the new plays is 25 minutes long and features two socially distanced actors and a safe, socially distanced audience of ten at each performance.

Over three weeks, six triple bills of the new plays will be performed. Each play will have four performances and be live streamed once.

Reboot Live is a back-to-basics approach that has been designed to keep both audience and performers safe, happy, and socially distanced. Two actors, no set, telling a human story.

Even a small audience changes the kinetic energy of performance and enhances the experience. The writers have each come up with unique stories and approaches with the restrictions specifically in mind
