Women writing Ireland is a panel discussion with four Irish women writers to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Maria Edgeworth.

 

This event will open with a talk on Edgeworth’s significance by Claire Connolly MRIA, School of English, UCC; a cultural historian of eighteenth- and nineteenth-century Ireland.

 

Margaret Kelleher, Professor and Chair of Anglo-Irish Literature and Drama at UCD, will chair a panel of Irish women writers who will all be celebrating Edgeworth’s legacy:
