Beyond Markets: The Cultural Case for Ireland in Europe

The Irish Humanities Alliance, in collaboration with the Humanities Institute UCD and the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies, TCD have organised an event to explore the cultural, historical and social dimension to Ireland’s membership of the European Union. To date, the debate has been excessively narrow with excessive focus on economic and institutional issues. The proposed seminar will identify the cultural challenges of Brexit and examine how to develop an inclusive and diverse post-Brexit European identity.
