Event focused on Thomas MacDonagh

“The Irish Revival Network is pleased to announce a two-day event focusing on the literary career of UCD alumnus, writer and revolutionary figure Thomas MacDonagh (1878-1916).

Revival to Revolution: the Literary Career of Thomas MacDonagh will be held at the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 June 2015 from 10am to 5pm. The event comprises an academic symposium, a documentary screening and a multimedia exhibition.

On June 25th at 2.30pm in the Lecture Theatre of the National Gallery of Ireland there will be a public screening of RTE’s documentary On Behalf of the Provisional Government: Thomas MacDonagh by Aindreas O’Gallchoir (1966).

The exhibition ‘Thomas MacDonagh and the Irish Review’ with holdings from UCD Library Special Collections will be on display during the event.
