Dubliners 100: Discount for Lecturers and Students
Tramp Press recently launched Dubliners 100: Fifteen Short Stories Inspired by the Original. Edited by Thomas Morris, the collection is an opportunity for new and established Irish writers to respond to James Joyce’s classic Dubliners in the centenary of its publication.
Each writer was invited to chose a story from the collection and to write a ‘cover version’ of that story. Some imitated form, others tone, and most took the opportunity to play with the stories by inverting gender, or updating the story to show a portrait of Ireland 100 years later.
Contributors include Patrick McCabe, Eimear McBride, Paul Murray, Donal Ryan, Michele Forbes and Belinda McKeon.
We have just printed the second edition, and are offering teachers, TAs, lecturers and students a discount on the title for class adoptions.
If you lead a course on contemporary Irish literature and would like to make Dubliners 100 a discussion point, please get in touch with us at Lisa@tramp.ie for a 30% discount on group orders direct from Tramp.ie.
