CALL FOR PAPERS – SPECIAL ISSUE:

Economic Crisis and Recovery:

Gendered Impacts and Discourses

The Editors of Gender, Sexuality & Feminism (GSF) invite submissions for a

special issue on Economic Crisis and Recovery: Gendered Impacts and

Discourses.

 

GSF is an international open-access, scholarly, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal publishing theoretically innovative and methodologically diverse research in the fields of gender studies, masculinities, sexualities and feminism.

 

This special issue of GSF calls for papers exploring the impacts of economic and social policies within the broad context of economic crisis and recovery. We specially invite submissions that explore alternative paths of recovery cognizant of the gendered impacts of crisis-driven social and economic policies and current public discourses of gender relations.

Key themes of the special issue include:

• Changes in intra-household gender relations in context of crisis

• Current/emerging public discourses of masculinities/femininities

• Shifts in regulation of female sexuality

• Women’s political voice/resistance

 

Article length is 6,000-8,000 (and will be preceded by (a) an abstract (200 words); b) five keywords; and c) a contributor biography (150 words).
