About NUI Galway

The National University of Ireland Galway is part of the NUI system, which includes University College Dublin, University College Cork, and NUI Maynooth. Find out more about the University here.

In 2002, the University was named the Sunday Times Irish university of the year.

IASIL 2004 is being hosted by the NUIG English Department, one of the largest and liveliest in the university. We have 14 full-time members of staff, and over 800 undergraduate students. We have about 40 students enrolled in our taught MA programmes, and around 15 PhD students. In addition, each semester we welcome over 200 students from overseas.
