Special issue of Breac on Children’s Literature

 
The fifth issue of Breac, a peer-reviewed, paperless, open access, Irish studies journal, has just been launched at atbreac.nd.edu. This issue, edited by Anne Markey, President of the Irish Society of Children’s Literature, and Aedín Clements, University of Notre Dame, focuses on children’s literature in Ireland and beyond.  In addition to a guide to recent critical writing on Irish children’s literature , contributors, including Karín Lesnik-Oberstein, Maria Nikolajeva, Clíona Ó Gallchoir, Róisín Adams, Kimberley Reynolds, Jones Irwin, Valerie Coghlan, Máire Bhreatnach, Lissa Paul, Roni Natov, Claire M. Dunne, and James P. Sullivan, re-evaluate children’s literature and its academic study from new and important perspectives.
