IASIL will offer two scholarships to enable overseas student members of IASIL to attend the conference at the University of Limerick, July 20th-24th, 1998. The Scholarships will be worth £250 each, and, in addition, conference registration will be paid for the successful applicants. Note: The cost of accommodation is not included in the conference registration.
2. Applicants must be paid-up student members of IASIL for 1998. The dues must be paid before 31 March 1998 in order to be eligible for consideration.
3. The competition will be open to student members who reside outside Ireland or Britain.
4. Applicants should submit a paper proposal to the conference by 30 November 1997, and have their paper accepted.
5. The scholarships will be considered by a committee of IASIL consisting of the Treasurer, the Organiser of the Conference and an independent Academic Assessor. The decisions of the committee will be final. Payment will be made during the conference.
6. To apply, send a letter with your conference paper proposal saying that you wish to be considered for one of the Scholarships. One letter should also be enclosed from an academic familiar with your work.
