Bus Eireann - busses to and from Dublin to all major Irish destinations Irish Rail - trains to Dublin from Belfast, Galway, Limerick, Cork and Sligo. If you arrive at Dublin Airport - Dublin Bus runs a direct bus service from Dublin Airport to HEUSTON STATION. Take ROUTE 748 from Dublin Airport to Heuston (view all timetables for Dublin Bus airport services here). Dublin Bus operates an "exact fare only" policy, so you should ensure that you have €2-4 in coins to pay for fares before you board the bus. If you arrive at Shannon Airport You can take a bus or tain to Dublin by using Bus Eireann (Shannon to Limerick) and Irish Rail. There is no direct train service from Shannon Airport to Dublin. Depending on traffic, the journey from Shannon Airport to Dublin by car takes approximately 3.5 hours. Weather in Ireland in July is usually mild - but rain should be expected. Light clothing will usually be sufficient, but bring sweaters too. Clothing appropriate to rain is essential. Traffic in Ireland - travelling by road within any Irish cities, including Dublin, can often involve lengthy delays due to traffic congestion and road works. It is best to choose accommodation within walking distance of the conference venue, and to use public transport where possible. Prices in Ireland - Ireland is a eurozone country, but prices may differ from those in other eurozone countries. If you have not visited Ireland for some time, you should be aware that it is now regarded as one of the more expensive countries in Europe. Some sample prices are listed below as a general indicator of prices. There will be exceptions to these guidelines, with both cheaper and more expensive options available, but delegates may find them useful.
